False smut in Vishnu Bhog

We spotted false smut, known here as Kando, in Vishnu Bhog. This crop had already been through flooding and leafroller trouble.

We suspected that rain and standing water, followed by a hot spell, may have played a part in the latest problem. Spraying was planned for 4 November.

For next season, we want to be better prepared for these setbacks.
